Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Washington Warriors (Cedar Rapids, IA) and the visiting Wahlert Golden Eagles (Dubuque, IA), saw Washington's basketball squad knock off Wahlert by a tally of 71-54.

With the victory, Washington improves its record to 8-8 on the campaign. The Warriors host Notre Dame (Burlington, IA) to play the Nikes in a non-league challenge on Monday, January 10. The Nikes come into the challenge with a record of 9-0. Notre Dame won 67-30 in their recent non-league challenge against WACO (Wayland, IA)

Next up, the Golden Eagles play the Jefferson Hawks (Cedar Rapids, IA) in a Mississippi Valley challenge, on Friday, January 14. Wahlert will attempt to improve on its 3-7 season record.
