Iowa High School Basketball - Xavier holds off Washington
December 21, 2021: Cedar Rapids, IA 52411 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Xavier Saints (Cedar Rapids, IA) and the visiting Washington Warriors (Cedar Rapids, IA), saw Xavier's basketball squad hold off Washington by a tally of 51-49.
With the victory, Xavier improves its record to 7-2 on the campaign. The Saints host Dubuque Senior (Dubuque, IA) to confront the Rams in a Mississippi Valley challenge on Tuesday, January 11. The Rams come into the challenge with a record of 3-3.
Next up, the Warriors confront the Linn-Mar Lions (Marion, IA) in a Mississippi Valley challenge, on Tuesday, January 4. Washington will attempt to improve on its 7-7 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 6-3 record after their 60-50 league loss to Iowa City West (Iowa City, IA).
