Iowa High School Basketball - Washington overwhelms Jefferson
January 21, 2022: Cedar Rapids, IA 52403 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Washington Warriors (Cedar Rapids, IA) and the visiting Jefferson Hawks (Cedar Rapids, IA), saw Washington's basketball squad wallop Jefferson by a count of 71-38.
With the victory, Washington upgrades its record to 10-9 on the campaign. The Warriors host Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, IA) to play the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Friday, January 21. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 5-7. Mt. Pleasant won 67-54 in their recent non-league challenge against Danville (Danville, IA)
Next up, the Hawks play the Dubuque Senior Rams (Dubuque, IA) in a Mississippi Valley challenge, on Tuesday, January 25. Jefferson will attempt to upgrade on its 5-10 season record. The Rams come into the challenge with a 6-6 record after their 61-30 non-league win over Crestwood (Cresco, IA).
