Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Central Valley Falcons (Shasta Lake, CA) and the visiting Las Plumas Thunderbirds (Oroville, CA), saw Central Valley's basketball squad overcome Las Plumas by a tally of 51-39.

With the victory, Central Valley improves its record to 11-6 on the campaign. The Falcons host West Valley (Cottonwood, CA) to confront the Eagles in a Northern challenge on Wednesday, January 11. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 9-4. West Valley lost 64-55 in their recent non-league challenge against Lassen (Susanville, CA)

Next up, the Thunderbirds confront the Gridley Bulldogs (Gridley, CA) in a Butte View challenge, on Tuesday, January 10. Las Plumas will attempt to improve on its 6-10 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 12-5 record after their 39-32 non-league win over Weed (Weed, CA).
