The Corning Cardinals basketball team (Corning, CA), was overwhelmed 48-18 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Las Plumas Thunderbirds (Oroville, CA)

The Thunderbirds now possess a 9-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oroville for a Butte View battle on Thursday, February 9. Las Plumas will confront a Tigers team coming off a 41-33 non-league win over Willows (Willows, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 5-18.

The Cardinals (0-22) will now prepare for their battle against Orland (Orland, CA). The Trojans come into the Butte View battle with a 17-9 record. In their last battle, Orland trounced Gridley (Gridley, CA), 57-39, in a league battle.
