The Galena Pirates basketball team scored 51 points and limited the visiting River Ridge Wildcats to 47 in the Pirates league triumph on Tuesday.

The Pirates now possess a 11-6 record. They play next when they travel to Stockton for a Northwest Upstate Illini - West game on Thursday, January 9. Galena will play a Blackhawks team coming off a 68-37 league loss to Warren (Warren, IL). The Blackhawks record now stands at 3-8.
