California High School Basketball - Sierra fells Fresno

January 7, 2025: Tollhouse, CA 93667

The Sierra Chieftains basketball team scored 53 points and limited the visiting Fresno Warriors to 40 in the Chieftains non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Chieftains now have a 10-6 record. They play next when they host Justin Garza for a non-league game on Friday, January 10. Sierra will confront a Guardians team coming off a 53-35 league loss to Sanger West (Fresno, CA). The Guardians record now stands at 5-9.

With the loss, Fresno falls to 8-8 on the campaign. The Warriors host Hoover (Fresno, CA) to confront the Patriots in a County/Metro game on Thursday, January 9. The Patriots go into the game with a record of 8-9. Hoover lost 70-29 in their recent non-league game against Clovis East (Clovis, CA)
