The George West Longhorns basketball squad (George West, TX), was crushed 77-31 in Tuesday's league battle with the host West Oso Bears (Corpus Christi, TX)

With the victory, West Oso advances its record to 20-5 on the year. The Bears travel to Taft (Taft, TX) to meet the Greyhounds in a 3A Region IV District 29 battle on Friday, January 10. The Greyhounds enter the battle with a record of 15-10. Taft lost 56-36 in their recent league battle against London (Corpus Christi, TX)

The Longhorns now own a 10-16 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mathis for a 3A Region IV District 29 battle on Friday, January 10. George West will meet a Pirates squad coming off a 47-29 league loss to Aransas Pass (Aransas Pass, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 7-9.
