The St. Joseph Flyers basketball squad (Victoria, TX), was outscored 52-44 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting St. Augustine Knights (Laredo, TX)

With the victory, St. Augustine advances its record to 7-15 on the year. The Knights host St. Anthony (San Antonio, TX) to meet the Yellowjackets in a TAPPS 5A District 3 battle on Friday, January 9. The Yellowjackets enter the battle with a record of 7-18. St. Anthony lost 55-45 in their recent league battle against St. Joseph Academy (Brownsville, TX)

The Flyers now own a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Faith Academy for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 10. St. Joseph will meet a Cougars squad coming off a 75-32 non-league win over Victoria Gators HomeSchool (Victoria, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 20-5.
