Elko Indians (Elko, NV) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Fernley Vaqueros (Fernley, NV), 43-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Elko upgrades its record to 11-0 on the season. The Indians host Spring Creek (Spring Creek, NV) to play the Spartans in a bout on Friday, January 14. The Spartans go into the bout with a record of 7-6. Spring Creek won 51-31 in their recent non-league bout against Dayton (Dayton, NV)

Next up, the Vaqueros play the Churchill County Greenwave (Fallon, NV) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 12. Fernley will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Greenwave go into the bout with a 5-2 record after their 46-42 non-league win over Lowry (Winnemucca, NV).
