New York High School Basketball - Cornwall Central overwhelms Minisink Valley
January 8, 2024: New Windsor, NY 12553 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Cornwall Central Dragons (New Windsor, NY) and the visiting Minisink Valley Warriors (Slate Hill, NY), saw Cornwall Central's basketball squad wallop Minisink Valley by a tally of 88-42.
With the victory, Cornwall Central improves its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to Monticello (Monticello, NY) to confront the Panthers in a Section 9 Orange County II challenge on Friday, January 12. The Panthers come into the challenge with a record of 6-5. Monticello lost 51-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Saugerties (Saugerties, NY)
Next up, the Warriors confront the Goshen Central Gladiators (Goshen, NY) in a Section 9 Orange County II challenge, on Thursday, January 11. Minisink Valley will attempt to improve on its 2-9 season record. The Gladiators come into the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 51-35 non-league loss to Warwick (Warwick, NY).
