January 8, 2024: Lanark, IL 61046 Fans at Monday's league challenge between the Eastland Cougars (Lanark, IL) and the visiting Forreston Cardinals (Forreston, IL), saw Eastland's basketball squad wallop Forreston by a tally of 70-38.
With the victory, Eastland improves its record to 12-5 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Fulton (Fulton, IL) to confront the Steamers in a Northwest Upstate Illini - South challenge on Wednesday, January 10. The Steamers come into the challenge with a record of 11-5. Fulton won 51-28 in their recent league challenge against Forreston (Forreston, IL)
Next up, the Cardinals confront the Amboy Clippers (Amboy, IL) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, January 10. Forreston will attempt to improve on its 5-11 season record. The Clippers come into the challenge with a 2-11 record after their 58-41 non-league loss to Indian Creek (Shabbona, IL).
