Charlottesville Black Knights (Charlottesville, VA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting George Washington Eagles (Danville, VA), 40-13 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Charlottesville upgrades its record to 12-0 on the season. The Black Knights host Western Albemarle (Crozet, VA) to play the Warriors in a Jefferson bout on Friday, January 12. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 8-3. Western Albemarle won 53-32 in their recent league bout against Monticello (Charlottesville, VA)

Next up, the Eagles play the Magna Vista Warriors (Ridgeway, VA) in a Piedmont bout, on Wednesday, January 10. George Washington will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 10-3 record after their 60-47 non-league loss to Salem (Salem, VA).
