Maumee Valley Country Day Hawks (Toledo, OH) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Gorham Fayette Eagles (Fayette, OH), 66-27 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Maumee Valley Country Day upgrades its record to 5-5 on the season. The Hawks travel to Emmanuel Christian (Toledo, OH) to play the Warriors in a Toledo Area bout on Friday, January 13. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 9-1. Emmanuel Christian won 68-52 in their recent league bout against Ottawa Hills (Toledo, OH)

Next up, the Eagles play the Pettisville Blackbirds (Pettisville, OH) in a Buckeye Border bout, on Friday, January 20. Gorham Fayette will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record.
