The Spring Valley Grizzlies basketball team scored 55 points and restricted the visiting Cheyenne Desert Shields to 20 in the Grizzlies non-league victory on Monday.

The Grizzlies now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Faith Lutheran for a 5A Southern contest on Wednesday, January 11. Spring Valley will battle a Crusaders team coming off a 54-36 league win over Desert Oasis (Las Vegas, NV). The Crusaders record now stands at 12-2.

The Desert Shields (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon (Henderson, NV). The Pirate come into the non-league contest with a 1-12 record. In their last contest, Pinecrest Academy Sloan Canyon was routed by Mojave (North Las Vegas, NV), 41-10, in a non-league contest.
