In Monday's non-league outing, the Somerset Academy South Homestead Hurricanes (Homestead, FL) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Mater Academy Charter Lions (Hialeah Gardens, FL), by a margin of 57-36.

The Hurricanes (10-5) will now prepare for their outing against Keys Gate (Homestead, FL). The Knights go into the 3A District 16 outing with a 0-7 record. In their last outing, Keys Gate was trounced by Coral Shores (Tavernier, FL), 1-0, in a league outing.
