Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Burgettstown overwhelms Bentworth
January 9, 2024: Bentleyville, PA 15314 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Burgettstown Blue Devils (Burgettstown, PA) and the host Bentworth Bearcats (Bentleyville, PA), saw Burgettstown's basketball squad wallop Bentworth by a tally of 63-42.
With the victory, Burgettstown improves its record to 12-3 on the campaign. The Blue Devils travel to Frazier (Perryopolis, PA) to confront the Commodores in a WPIAL 2A 4 challenge on Friday, January 12. The Commodores come into the challenge with a record of 8-5. Frazier won 64-57 in their recent league challenge against Carmichaels (Carmichaels, PA)
Next up, the Bearcats confront the Bethlehem Center Bulldogs (Fredericktown, PA) in a WPIAL 2A 4 challenge, on Friday, January 12. Bentworth will attempt to improve on its 2-9 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 3-8 record after their 63-50 non-league loss to Charleroi (Charleroi, PA).
