Texas High School Basketball - Hale Center trounces New Deal
January 9, 2024: Hale Center, TX 79041 The Hale Center Owls (Hale Center, TX) basketball crushed the visiting New Deal Lions (New Deal, TX), 72-49 in Tuesday's league test.
The Owls (11-6) will now prepare for their test against Lockney (Lockney, TX). The Longhorns go into the 2A Region I District 4 test with a 6-9 record. In their last test, Lockney was trounced by Olton (Olton, TX), 69-52, in a league test.
The Lions now own a 4-16 record. They play next when they host Sudan for a 2A Region I District 4 test on Friday, January 12. New Deal will encounter a Hornets squad coming off a 80-37 league win over Smyer (Smyer, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 8-6.
