Laurel Christian Lions (Laurel, MS) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Sylva Bay Academy Saints (Bay Springs, MS), 38-29 in a league bout.

With the win, Laurel Christian upgrades its record to 5-10 on the season. The Lions host Prentiss Christian (Prentiss, MS) to play the Saints in a MAIS 3A District 3 bout on Thursday, January 11. The Saints go into the bout with a record of 0-3. Prentiss Christian lost 52-19 in their recent league bout against Sylva Bay Academy (Bay Springs, MS)
