Alabama High School Basketball - Austin routs Columbia
January 9, 2025: Huntsville, AL 35806 In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Austin Black Bears basketball team scored a big 61-34 win over the Columbia Eagles.
The Black Bears (17-6) will now prepare for their contest against Mars Hill Bible (Florence, AL). The Panthers come into the non-league contest with a 12-4 record. In their last contest, Mars Hill Bible smashed Scottsboro (Scottsboro, AL), 71-57, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Eagles battle the Buckhorn Bucks (New Market, AL) in a 6A Area 16 contest, on Tuesday, January 14. Columbia will attempt to better on its 4-17 season record. The Bucks come into the contest with a 15-6 record after their 69-55 league loss to Mae Jemison (Huntsville, AL).
