The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Carver Tigers (Columbus, GA) and the host Hardaway Hawks (Columbus, GA), observed Carver's basketball team overwhelm Hardaway by a score of 117-42.

The Tigers (10-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Spencer (Columbus, GA). The Greenwave come into the AA Region 1 challenge with a 10-3 record. In their last challenge, Spencer trounced Kendrick (Columbus, GA), 73-55, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Hawks encounter the Shaw Raiders (Columbus, GA) in a AA Region 1 challenge, on Saturday, January 11. Hardaway will attempt to improve on its 4-11 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 5-9 record after their 72-44 league win over Columbus (Columbus, GA).
