In Thursday's league test, the New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) basketball squad knocked off the host Fishburne Military Caissons (Waynesboro, VA), by a score of 57-43.

Next, the Gryphons encounter the Carlisle Chiefs (Axton, VA) in a Virginia Independent test, on Tuesday, January 14. New Covenant will attempt to improve on its 11-1 season record.
