Ohio High School Basketball - Mapleton thwarts Western Reserve
January 9, 2025: Ashland, OH 44805 The crowd at Thursday's league challenge between the Mapleton Mounties (Ashland, OH) and the visiting Western Reserve Roughriders (Collins, OH), observed Mapleton's basketball team knock off Western Reserve by a score of 34-22.
The Mounties (11-1) will now prepare for their challenge against New London (New London, OH). The Wildcats come into the Firelands challenge with a 9-3 record. In their last challenge, New London prevailed over Crestview (Ashland, OH), 51-11, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Roughriders encounter the Crestview Cougars (Ashland, OH) in a Firelands challenge, on Tuesday, January 14. Western Reserve will attempt to improve on its 3-9 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 5-6 record after their 51-11 league loss to New London (New London, OH).
