The Mapleton Mounties (Ashland, OH) basketball crushed the host South Central Trojans (Greenwich, OH), 55-28 in Saturday's league bout.

The Mounties now possess a 16-4 record. They play next when they host Northmor for a non-league bout on Wednesday, February 5. Mapleton will play a Golden Knights team coming off a 50-37 non-league win over Ridgemont (Mount Victory, OH). The Golden Knights record now stands at 7-13.

With the loss, South Central falls to 1-19 on the campaign. The Trojans host New London (New London, OH) to play the Wildcats in a Firelands bout on Friday, February 7. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 15-4.
