The Jonesboro Cardinals (Jonesboro, GA) basketball triumphed over the visiting Starr's Mill Panthers (Fayetteville, GA), 84-46 in Friday's league challenge.

The Cardinals (10-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Winder-Barrow (Winder, GA). The Bulldoggs enter the non-league battle with a 7-7 record. In their last battle, Winder-Barrow walloped Loganville (Loganville, GA), 71-60, in a league battle.

The Panthers now own a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northside for a AAAA Region 3 battle on Tuesday, January 13. Starr's Mill will meet a Patriots squad coming off a 68-59 league loss to Central (Carrollton, GA). The Patriots record now stands at 1-13.
