Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC) boosters left the game thrilled Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Ledford Panthers (Thomasville, NC), 3-1 in a league test.

With the win, Montgomery Central improves its record to 7-10 on the season. The Timberwolves travel to Central Davidson (Lexington, NC) to encounter the Spartans in a Mid-Piedmont 3A test on Thursday, October 3. The Spartans go into the test with a record of 9-8. Central Davidson won 3-0 in their recent non-league test against South Davidson (Denton, NC)

The Panthers now own a 4-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Oak Grove for a Mid-Piedmont 3A test on Thursday, October 3. Ledford will encounter a Grizzlies squad coming off a 3-0 league win over North Davidson (Lexington, NC). The Grizzlies record now stands at 12-7.
