Asheboro Blue Comets (Asheboro, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the visiting Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC), 3-0 in a league test.

With the win, Asheboro improves its record to 12-4 on the season. The Blue Comets travel to Oak Grove (Winston-Salem, NC) to face the Grizzlies in a Mid-Piedmont 3A test on Thursday, September 26. The Grizzlies go into the test with a record of 10-7. Oak Grove won 3-0 in their recent league test against Central Davidson (Lexington, NC)

The Timberwolves now own a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Davidson for a Mid-Piedmont 3A test on Thursday, September 26. Montgomery Central will face a Black Knights squad coming off a 3-1 non-league win over East Davidson (Thomasville, NC). The Black Knights record now stands at 6-11.
