The Desert Star (Fort Mohave, AZ) football trounced the host Highland Prep Honey Badgers (Surprise, AZ), 39-0 in Thursday's league outing.

The now sport a 2-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Veritas Prep for a 2A Metro 4 outing on Friday, October 10. Desert Star will clash with a Falcons squad coming off a 41-0 league win over Trivium Prep (Goodyear, AZ). The Falcons record now stands at 7-0.

The Honey Badgers (2-5) will now prepare for their game against Tanque Verde (Tucson, AZ). The Hawks enter the non-league game with a 5-2 record. In their last game, Tanque Verde overwhelmed Bisbee (Bisbee, AZ), 62-8, in a league game.
