The crowd at Friday's league bout between the Van Nuys Wolves (Van Nuys, CA) and the visiting Sylmar Spartans (Sylmar, CA), saw Van Nuys's football team nip Sylmar by a final score of 49-46.

With the win, Van Nuys advances its record to 6-1 on the season. The Wolves travel to Canoga Park (Canoga Park, CA) to encounter the Hunters in a Valley Mission bout on Friday, October 10. The Hunters go into the bout with a record of 4-3. Canoga Park won 37-0 in their recent league bout against Reseda (Reseda, CA)

The Spartans now own a 4-2 record. They play next when they host Kennedy for a Valley Mission match on Friday, October 10. Sylmar will confront a Cougars squad coming off a 42-7 league win over Panorama (Panorama City, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 5-1.
