New Mexico High School Volleyball - Walatowa Charter over Coronado
October 5, 2023: Gallina, NM 87017 The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Walatowa Charter Cougars (Jemez Pueblo, NM) and the host Coronado Leopards (Gallina, NM), saw Walatowa Charter's volleyball squad beat Coronado by a tally of 3-0.
With the win, Walatowa Charter upgrades its record to 1-2 on the year. The Cougars host Jemez Valley (Jemez Pueblo, NM) to play the Warriors in a 1A District 7 bout on Monday, October 16. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 2-12. Jemez Valley lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against Evangel Christian Academy/Oak Grove Classical Academy (Albuquerque, NM)
The Leopards now own a 1-9 record. They play next when they travel to Jemez Valley for a 1A District 7 bout on Saturday, October 7. Coronado will play a Warriors squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to New Mexico School for the Deaf (Santa Fe, NM). The Warriors record now stands at 1-11.
