The Monroe Redhawks volleyball team (Monroe, NC), was dropped 3-0 in Thursday's league challenge with the host Central Academy Cougars (Monroe, NC)

The Cougars (5-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Anson (Wadesboro, NC). The Bearcats enter the Rocky River 2A/3A challenge with a 15-4 record. In their last challenge, Anson defeated Forest Hills (Marshville, NC), 3-1, in a league challenge.

Next, the Redhawks meet the Forest Hills Yellow Jackets (Marshville, NC) in a Rocky River 2A/3A challenge, on Monday, October 10. Monroe will attempt to move on its 1-12 season record. The Yellow Jackets enter the challenge with a 7-11 record after their 3-1 league loss to Anson (Wadesboro, NC).
