Match Summary
Bolton-Warrensburg took the long trek down to Chatham to face the Panthers in a non conference clash. Despite the 2 hour bus trip, it was the Panthers who came out jetlagged and B-W jumped on them early. Chatham was sloppy and showed a lack of energy and focus that ended up being their downfall as B-W jumped to a 2-0 lead at half behind goals from Ben Birkholz and Will Hens. The 2nd half saw the Panthers come out and increase the work rate, creating more chances and putting B-W on their heels. Chatham earned a corner 5 minutes into the half and Ezra Wood connected with Oliver Carroll for the Panthers score, 2-1. Bolton did a good job defending late and holding off the Panthers attack to pull out the 2-1 victory. Shots on goal were even at 10, and Chatham held the 4-2 corner advantage.
