The Northwest Cabarrus Trojans (Concord, NC) football routed the host Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC), 48-0 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Trojans face the Concord Spiders (Concord, NC) in a 3A West Conference 48 bout, on Friday, October 14. Northwest Cabarrus will attempt to advance on its 7-1 season record. The Spiders enter the bout with a 3-4 record after their 54-19 league win over South Rowan (China Grove, NC).

The Cougars (2-5) will now prepare for their bout against East Rowan (Salisbury, NC). The Mustangs enter the 3A West Conference 48 bout with a 0-7 record. In their last bout, East Rowan was overwhelmed by Central Cabarrus (Concord, NC), 36-24, in a league bout.
