October 7, 2024: McSherrystown, PA 17344 The Delone Catholic Squires soccer squad scored 2 points and held the visiting Bermudian Springs Eagles to 1 in the Squires non-league victory on Monday.
The Squires now hold a 7-5 record. They play next when they host Fairfield for a non-league bout on Tuesday, October 8. Delone Catholic will play a Knights squad coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Shalom Christian Academy (Chambersburg, PA). The Knights record now stands at 6-7.

The Squires dominated possession in this overtime win over the Bermudian Springs Eagles tonight. Despite possessing and distributing well, the goals just didn't get in and the break down for the Squires in the first half was in the offensive third. The Eagles went up 1-0 striking first with a goal that went over the Squires' goalie's head. In the second half, 11 minutes in JP Groves #4 took a pass from Michael Carter #10 and dribbled and shot from the top of the box into the left side for a tying goal 1-1. The game went into two overtimes before Ethan Sevison #39 passed a through ball to Angello Salazar #7 who scored the game-winning goal!
