Georgia High School Softball - Toombs County bounces Metter
October 9, 2024: Metter, GA 30439 In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Toombs County Bulldogs softball team scored a tight 7-0 victory over the Metter Tigers.
The Bulldogs (20-2) will now prepare for their match against St. Vincent's (Savannah, GA). The Saints go into the 1A D-I Region 3 match with a 3-14 record. In their last match, St. Vincent's was routed by Swainsboro (Swainsboro, GA), 8-3, in a league match.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Portal Panthers (Portal, GA) in a 1A D-II Region 3 match, on Thursday, October 10. Metter will attempt to better on its 15-5 season record. The Panthers go into the match with a 4-9 record after their 12-4 league loss to Bryan County (Pembroke, GA).
