In Thursday's league challenge, the visiting Grafton Clippers volleyball team scored a 3-0 victory over the Poquoson Islanders.

The Clippers (14-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Tabb (Yorktown, VA). The Tigers enter the Bay Rivers challenge with a 9-5 record. In their last challenge, Tabb was beaten by New Kent (New Kent, VA), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Islanders meet the Lafayette Rams (Williamsburg, VA) in a Bay Rivers challenge, on Monday, October 13. Poquoson will attempt to improve on its 10-4 season record. The Rams go into the test with a 6-8 record after their 3-2 league win over Bruton (Williamsburg, VA).
