Georgia High School Softball - River Ridge sneaks past Pope
October 1, 2024: Woodstock, GA 30188 The River Ridge Knights (Woodstock, GA) softball nipped the visiting Pope Greyhounds (Marietta, GA), 3-2 in Tuesday's league outing.
The Knights now sport a 10-11 record. They put it on the line next when they host Creekview for a 5A Region 6 outing on Thursday, October 3. River Ridge will encounter a Grizzlies team coming off a 3-2 league win over Sequoyah (Canton, GA). The Grizzlies record now stands at 15-7.
With the loss, Pope moves to 14-7 on the season. The Greyhounds host Cambridge (Milton, GA) to encounter the Bears in a non-league outing on Wednesday, October 2. The Bears come into the outing with a record of 19-5. Cambridge lost 5-1 in their recent non-league outing against Wesleyan (Norcross, GA)
