Fans at Thursday's league contest between the Sherman Tide (Seth, WV) and the host Tug Valley Panthers (Williamson, WV), observed Sherman's volleyball team hold off Tug Valley by a count of 2-1.

The Tide (13-8) will now prepare for their contest against St. Joseph Central (Huntington, WV). The Irish enter the non-league contest with a 15-6 record.
