In Friday's league game, the Poquoson Islanders (Poquoson, VA) football team triumphed over the visiting Gloucester Dukes (Gloucester, VA), by a tally of 54-6.

In their next game, the Islanders face the Warhill Lions (Williamsburg, VA) in a Bay Rivers game, on Friday, October 17. Poquoson will attempt to better on its 7-0 season record. The Lions enter the game with a 4-2 record after their 61-6 league win over Bruton (Williamsburg, VA).
