The Poquoson Islanders football team scored 14 points and restricted the visiting New Kent Trojans to 0 in the Islanders league win on Thursday.

In their next game, the Islanders play the Tabb Tigers (Yorktown, VA) in a Bay Rivers challenge, on Friday, September 12. Poquoson will attempt to improve on its 2-0 season record. The Tigers go into the challenge with a 2-0 record after their 37-0 league win over Bruton (Williamsburg, VA).

The Trojans (1-1) will now prepare for their test against Lafayette (Williamsburg, VA). The Rams come into the Bay Rivers test with a 2-0 record. In their last test, Lafayette knocked off Warhill (Williamsburg, VA), 24-6, in a league test.
