October 10, 2025: Mescalero, NM 88340 The Melrose Buffaloes walloped the host Mescalero Apache Chiefs football team by a score of 52-0 in Friday's league challenge.
In their next game, the Buffaloes face the Lordsburg Mavericks (Lordsburg, NM) in a 8-Man District 3 (8 Man) challenge, on Friday, October 17. Melrose will attempt to improve on its 6-2 season record. The Mavericks go into the challenge with a 5-2 record after their 50-14 league win over Hagerman/Lake Arthur (Hagerman, NM).
The Chiefs (1-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Tatum (Tatum, NM). The Coyotes go into the 8-Man District 3 (8 Man) challenge with a 6-2 record. In their last challenge, Tatum was ripped by Gateway Christian (Roswell, NM), 22-16, in a league challenge.
