In Friday's league match, the host Mesilla Valley Christian School SonBlazers football squad scored a good 45-22 triumph over the Mescalero Apache Chiefs.

The SonBlazers (3-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Gateway Christian (Roswell, NM). The Warriors go into the 8-Man District 3 (8 Man) challenge with a 2-1 record. In their last challenge, Gateway Christian toppled Lordsburg (Lordsburg, NM), 66-22, in a league challenge.
