The Mercer Mustangs football team (Mercer, PA), was crushed 48-0 in Friday's league bout with the visiting Wilmington Greyhounds (New Wilmington, PA)

With the win, Wilmington advances its record to 6-2 on the season. The Greyhounds travel to Sharpsville (Sharpsville, PA) to battle the Blue Devils in a District 10 Region 1 contest on Friday, October 17. The Blue Devils enter the contest with a record of 1-7. Sharpsville lost 52-7 in their recent league contest against Farrell (Farrell, PA)

Coming up next, the Mustangs battle the Slippery Rock Rockets (Slippery Rock, PA) in a non-league contest, on Friday, October 24. Mercer will attempt to better on its 3-5 season record.
