The St. Francis Golden Knights football squad (La Canada, CA), was nudged 21-16 in Friday's league contest with the host St. Paul Swordsmen (Santa Fe Springs, CA)

The Swordsmen (1-6) will now prepare for their contest against St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy (Downey, CA). The Warriors enter the Angelus contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy was nudged by Paraclete (Lancaster, CA), 38-29, in a league contest.

Coming up next, the Golden Knights confront the Bishop Alemany Warriors (Mission Hills, CA) in a Angelus contest, on Friday, October 17. St. Francis will attempt to better on its 0-7 season record.
