Newington Nor'easters (Newington, CT) boosters left the game thrilled Friday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Platt Panthers (Meriden, CT), 3-1 in a league test.

With the win, Newington improves its record to 5-11 on the season. The Nor'easters host Southington (Southington, CT) to meet the Blue Knights in a Central Connecticut - South challenge on Tuesday, October 14. The Blue Knights enter the challenge with a record of 9-9. Southington won 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Wethersfield (Wethersfield, CT)

Next, the Panthers meet the Plainville Blue Devils (Plainville, CT) in a Central Connecticut - South challenge, on Tuesday, October 14. Platt will attempt to improve on its 4-11 season record.
