Fans at Monday's league contest between the Maloney Spartans (Meriden, CT) and the visiting Platt Panthers (Meriden, CT), observed Maloney's volleyball team top Platt by a count of 3-0.

The Spartans (15-4) will now prepare for their contest against Berlin (Berlin, CT). The Redcoats go into the Central Connecticut - South battle with a 18-6 record. In their last battle, Berlin achieved victory over Manchester (Manchester, CT), 3-1, in a league battle.

The Panthers now own a 4-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Windsor for a non-league battle on Wednesday, October 22. Platt will encounter a Warriors team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Enfield (Enfield, CT). The Warriors record now stands at 13-5.
