The Avoyelles Mustangs football squad scored 32 points and limited the visiting Port Barre Red Devils to 27 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Holy Savior Menard for a 2A District 5 test on Friday, October 18. Avoyelles will meet a Eagles squad coming off a 13-0 league loss to Oakdale (Oakdale, LA). The Eagles record now stands at 2-4.

With the defeat, Port Barre drops to 1-6 on the campaign. The Red devils travel to Westminster Academy (Opelousas, LA) to meet the Crusaders in a non-league test on Friday, October 18. The Crusaders come into the test with a record of 4-3. Westminster Academy won 42-25 in their recent league test against Opelousas Catholic (Opelousas, LA)
