Georgia High School Softball - Oconee County holds off Franklin County
October 12, 2022: Watkinsville, GA 30677 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the Oconee County Warriors (Watkinsville, GA) and the visiting Franklin County Lions (Carnesville, GA), saw Oconee County's softball squad nip Franklin County by a count of 4-2.
The Warriors now sport a 12-16 record. They take the field next when they travel to Monroe Area for a non-league match on Thursday, October 13. Oconee County will face a Purple Hurricanes squad coming off a 1-0 non-league win over Hebron Christian Academy (Dacula, GA). The Purple Hurricanes record now stands at 14-10.
With the loss, Franklin County falls to 18-8 on the campaign. The Lions host Hebron Christian Academy (Dacula, GA) to face the Lions in a non-league match on Wednesday, October 12. The Lions enter the match with a record of 16-10. Hebron Christian Academy won 14-6 in their recent league match against Hart County (Hartwell, GA)
