Georgia High School Softball - Oconee County bounces Stephens County
September 21, 2022: Toccoa, GA 30577 Oconee County Warriors (Watkinsville, GA) fans exited the stadium satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their softball squad prevail over the host Stephens County Indians (Toccoa, GA), 16-8 in a league match.
The Warriors now sport a 8-12 record. They play next when they travel to Franklin County for a 3A Region 8 match on Thursday, September 22. Oconee County will face a Lions squad coming off a 9-1 league win over Monroe Area (Monroe, GA). The Lions record now stands at 15-5.
With the loss, Stephens County moves to 7-13 on the season. The Indians travel to Hebron Christian Academy (Dacula, GA) to face the Lions in a 3A Region 8 match on Thursday, September 22. The Lions go into the match with a record of 11-8. Hebron Christian Academy won 5-3 in their recent league match against Hart County (Hartwell, GA)
