The Indians now own a 8-14 record. They take the field next when they host Franklin County for a 3A Region 8 challenge on Tuesday, October 4.
With the loss, Monroe Area falls to 11-10 on the campaign. The Purple hurricanes host Oconee County (Watkinsville, GA) to battle the Warriors in a 3A Region 8 challenge on Wednesday, September 28. The Warriors enter the challenge with a record of 8-15. Oconee County lost 11-5 in their recent league challenge against Hebron Christian Academy (Dacula, GA)
